Online Safety Wrap Up
While taking the online safety course in class, I learned that no one can present themself as they truly are. Many people could easily find a disguise and that's how they lure in innocent children, putting them in danger. Thoroughout the lesson, I learned different safety tips on how to prevent myself form that kind of trouble. If i'm chating with someone on facebook, I know not to ever meet them unless I'm with an adult. And if I'm ever on Omegle, I know not to give out any personal information such as my name, address, or even where I go to school. If any subject ever makes me feel uncomfortable, I know to tell an adult right away. If I'm ever talking to a stranger around my parents, I'm thankful that we established a code word. This code word lets my mom or dad know that I'm uncomfortable and ready to leave. I'm thankful to have taken this course; it really changed my viewpoint on talking to strangers.
